Welcome to The SewEvermore Workshop!
Here we will explore the wonderful world of cosplay and fashion!
I love cosplay. I started making costumes years ago when I majored in Illustration and needed reference for my photo shoots. Renting costumes was just too expensive! I started out super simple, but as the years went on my interest exploded into a full blown hobby!
Since then I have taught sewing for over six years and I am currently taking Fashion Design classes. I hope to share all I learn with you!
I wish I had tracked the progress of my previous works better, as well as taken more quality photos. Here is a snapshot of a few of the things I have done. I will be working toward creating a quality gallery of precious works, as well as posting more step by step views of how I make future projects.
To give you an idea of my experience, here are some of the projects I have made in the past.
Aurora, Belle, Snow White, Giselle (above in progress), Tinker Bell, Jasmine, Megara, Flora (above in progress), Fauna, Merryweather, Ariel, Merida, Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Ursula (above in progress), and Cinderella
Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Batgirl, Poison Ivy (above in progress)
Rita Skeeter, Tonks
Elizabeth Swan, Jack Sparrow, Morticia Addams, Wednesday Addams, Wizard of Oz Emerald City, Anne of Green Gables (above), Strawberry Shortcake, Plum Pudding, and Rainbow Dash
Medieval, Renaissance, Grecian, Pioneer, 20’s flapper, 20’s Gatsby, 50’s poodle skirt, 50’s wrap dress, and a 60’s dress
One of the reasons I started making costumes myself was because of the difficulty of finding modest costumes. As a result, you will notice that many of my designs are modified from original designs to provide more coverage and show less skin. However, I make a huge effort to make these modifications look like part of a refined design in keeping with the character.
